Appendix 6: the effect of management¶
I assume that management has the best intentions and that it tries to help its training staff to the best of its abilities. Due to this, I am likely to listen to their conclusions and ideas and this may bias the willingness of other NBIS staff to do the same (See appendix 2 for the support for/against a flat course fee within NBIS).
Unexpectedly, my trust in management does not match that of all NBIS colleagues. Some have stated that decisions such as this are a one-way street. I was given the advice to 'just obey'. Even though this is a sentiment that I do think is worth investigating, I did not ask for clarifications of this sentiment.
Again, I assume that NBIS Training has had the best intentions when suggesting to introduce a flat course fee for online courses. I even assume they are open to opposing ideas, such as this opinion piece.
